Charity marathon day

The charity massage-thon took place live from the Basking Babies UK Facebook page which was freely accessible all day. The itinerary started at 10am with hourly sessions throughout the day, including a tummy massage to relieve trapped wind and colic, a session just for dads and finishing at 7pm with a bedtime massage session.

The Basking Babies UK team began supporting the Never Far Away: Essex Appeal two years ago after attending their launch event in Chelmsford. The branch charity of GOSH aims to raise £300,000 to provide free, nearby accommodation to Essex families whose babies or children are undergoing lifesaving treatment.  “It is so important to keep families together at these times” says Jess, owner of Basking Babies Chelmsford. “Situations like this could happen to anyone and it is comforting to know that if it happened to you, you won’t have to catch the last train home and can stay close by your child”.

The charity massage-thon raised more than we expected over the weekend which was matched by Basking Babies UK, bringing the grand total raised to over £800 for the Never Far Away: Essex Appeal. “I’m so proud of our Basking Babies team; providing excellent live sessions to benefit parents and babies and raising money for such a fantastic cause” says Carla, Owner & Founder of Basking Babies.
