Basking Babies aims to provide a healthy and safe environment for all our clients (parents and babies!), franchisees, instructors, staff and volunteers.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

All franchisees, instructors, staff and volunteers have responsibilities to:

  • take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others, who may be affected by their work activity.
  • comply with health and safety procedures and standards and should co-operate with the company to ensure that standards are maintained. This means that employees must not interfere with anything provided for the purposes of health and safety.
  • make use of equipment and personal protective equipment supplied and comply with our COVID policy.
  • take care when lifting, carrying using or cleaning equipment.
  • report any hazards, accidents, dangerous occurrences or near misses no matter how minor, to Head Office. This means that all franchisees, instructors, staff and employees must:
    • help maintain a safe place of work
    • follow the safe system of work provided
    • follow all instruction/training they have been given.

Health and Safety Statement of Intent

We believe that no activity is of such urgency or importance that it may be carried out in an unsafe manner.

Good safety is good business and we are committed to taking all reasonable steps to provide a safe and healthy workplace and working environment for all our team and clients.

For our part, we will actively promote health and safety through good practice and conduct and will support initiatives aimed at preventing injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences.

We will take all reasonably practical steps to ensure that Basking Babies provides the assistance and training necessary to competently fulfil their duties and responsibilities.
