A Basking Babies franchisee journey

Hi, I’m Louise and I am the owner of Basking Babies Brentwood & Billericay. I have lived in Billericay all of my life and I am a first time mum to a little boy called Elliott. I heard about Basking Babies when I took my little boy to the classes during his first year. It was there that I realised how amazing it would be to be part of the Basking Babies family.  

My life before

Before I went on maternity leave I was working as an Executive Assistant in a law firm in London. My hours were very long and I knew it would be hard to find a work/life balance if I went back to that role. My priorities had changed and I realised I wanted to do something I loved whilst also being there for my family. The opportunity to own the Brentwood and Billericay franchise came up during my maternity leave – safe to say I didn’t think twice.  

Why I joined Basking Babies

What attracted me to Basking Babies was that I could run my own business around my family, whilst doing something I also loved and believed in. I had a background in yoga so to be able to teach baby yoga as well as baby massage was just the perfect next step for me. I love the ethos of Basking Babies – as a new parent and first time mum I know how important it is to feel supported, inspired, empowered, and to be nurtured.  

Getting started

The onboarding process from my initial enquiry to my training was just amazing. Carla and the head office team were really great and the training was so structured and thorough, covering all aspects from being a business owner to how to deliver the classes. There is so much support from the team and I really couldn’t have asked for anything better.  

I love my job

I can honestly say I love my job! It is rewarding, it works around my family, I spend time with amazing parents and babies all on a different journey – and to be a part of that journey is one of the most magical things ever.  

If anyone is thinking about joining Basking Babies I would say don’t even think twice!
